1 yr older and Visiting South Korea

Had a great birthday full of family time and surprises from Mr Bumblebee.

A few days later I came to South Korea to visit Mr Bumblebee and it has been an adventure so far! We have been enjoying exploring and trying new things. So great to spend time together!

Seoul was awesome and we used airbnb.com to find a place to stay which worked out wonderfully! We went up Seoul Tower and locked on our love on the lock wall of love. Also mailed a postcard from there which will be fun to get in the mail. We tried some street food like sausage wrapped in a batter, sweet filled pancakes, potato spiral stick, and these cookies that tasted like burnt marshmallow. We also had these cheese bagels from Dunkin Donuts which I loved! Did a little shopping in Myeondong as well which was fun to look around. The Korean War Museum was an informative visit and a cool stop on our Seoul trip. Riding the train and subway had it's ups and downs but we made it!

Looking forward to more adventures...

Healthy Bites

Trying to make healthier choices this year so for SuperBowl weekend I made kale nachos and a fruit dip made from nonfat Greek yogurt and peanut butter. Both were a yummy success and inspired by Pinterest finds.

I'm January I did a month yoga challenge where I attempted a new poise each day.  For February I found one on Instagram. It has been fun to see what I am capable of and inspired me to keep pushing myself.

Still missing hubby but getting excited to visit him in less than two months!

Feeling Crafty

Over Christmas I attempted some DIY sharpie mugs and they turned out great! So for my husbands most recent care package I made mug and sent him the necessities for mug cake! The idea is all over Pinterest and is practical for those without an oven.

Have you ever made a vision board? Well at a Thirtyone conference I was at recently we made them and I enjoyed the experience. It was a great way to focus in on the things I want to accomplish in my future.

Recent aha moment: Step out of your comfort zone!

Here We Go 2014

Mr Bumblebee's midtour has come to an end sadly but now the countdown begins  for me to visit him!

2013 was an adventure with packing up the house into a storage unit, Mr Bumblebee leaving to S Korea, and me moving back home. It was a busy yr trying to visit family and preparing to move to Germany in 2014. We were able to visit new places and enjoy what NC had to bring. Thankful for the many blessings and time we were able to spend together!

Goals I accomplished: completed Insanity and grew together as husband and wife

Goals for 2014: grow in my relationship with Christ and my husband, learn to speak some German, visit Mr Bumblebee in Korea, visit Paris, become more fit and flexible, and maybe start a family!

Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Thanksgiving was wonderful with extended family visiting. Enjoyed time with the sister as well!
Mr Bumblebee is home for 3 weeks for Christmas and New Years. Having him back in my arms is wonderful! We gave each other some presents his first weekend back when we spent a couple nights at a Country Inn & Suites in Concord which was a great stay!

Feeling Accomplished

Finished a round of Insanity and lost 10 lbs! It feels so great to finish and be stronger because of it. I've decided to do it again and see what happens this time.

Mr. Bumblebee is now working Control which is great for him and allowing him to grow in his career. So proud of him! Getting closer to midtour which is so exciting!

Stronger than Yesterday

Through this separation and doing insanity I have become stronger in more ways than one. I only have two more weeks of insanity left and I'm feeling great. I'm excited to get a run in once it's all said and done to see how much my cardio has improved.

My faith in God has become stronger too and I have no idea how people can go through deployments etc without Christ at the center of their marriage or relationship. He is my Rock and Strong Tower!

Our marriage has also become stronger through our deep conversations and books we are reading. Distance is definitely making the heart grow fonder!

Although being apart is hard at times I am thankful for the wonderful things that have come because of it.
